Creativity as Rejuvenation – Free Download

What do you think about creativity? How are you creative?

I believe and know creativity is in us all. We all have it as children and we all have it as adults. The word can be concerning however creativity has many facets and forms to explore. There is something for everyone especially if we apply an arts lens. 

Creativity is expression and imagination. It is also problem solving and communication. So you are already creative in some way, likely many ways, Think of Home then of Work. I bet something came up for you. My husband is an engineer, he applies creativity often in his work. As a mom, when my girls were little, I made fun lunches; sandwiches & snacks in shapes to entice my littles to eat their school snacks. And yes, for sure was sending a message to them. 

For me, creativity as an art practice, is one of self-expression, of storytelling, and of connection to myself. And yes, I am a professional artist so there is practicing my craft in there. However, I save some of my creative energy and inspiration just for me.

I feel creativity is a soul-nourishing, soul energizing and a soul fulfilling activity. It can be way to reconnect with your inner self and inner world. It can be a powerful healing tool, a self-care tool, and a mindful practice.  And freedom if you get into the beautiful state called the zone.
