Wish You Were Here
Once again I am delighted to be apart of an art exhibition by Vodkow Distillery. The lastest is “Wish You Were Here”. This exhibition is about memory, nostalgia, and the moments that stay with us long after they’ve passed. Inspired by old postcards, blurry photos, summer adventures, and the feeling of longing for a person, a place, a moment-or even a past version of yourself-the show explores the emotional traces we carry with us through time.
The piece I have chosen to exhibit is one of four that began my exploration of whimiscal ladies. Serenity is surrounded by the flowers and love, is the love from days gone by or the kind that is longing or perhaps a contented love that surrounds and feels just right. This piece speaks to both reflection and contentment for me however everyone always has their own interpretation of her feelings and expression which is always so fun.
