April 30 (10 am to 2 pm) and May 7th (10 am to noon). Why 2 sessions? The paint must be fully cured to ensure the resin does not interact with paint that is still curing and cause a defect. Your piece will hang out in the studio in between sessions. After resin\, your piece will be ready to pick up after 48 hours. \n\n\nIn the first session; You will learn how to prepare a panel for paint. Then Barbi will lead a lesson in her playful cloud lady style and provide inspiration and guidance. We will put it all together in a sketch and then transfer it to prepared wood panels. We will apply the colour and personality. We will end our day with signatures on your pieces. \n\n\nIn session 2\, you will learn all the steps to resin your piece. We will be completing one coat of resin. If you wish to add a second coat you will have gained the knowledge to do so. Otherwise\, your piece is now a fun and functional piece of art! 🙂 \n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n TO NOTE: Masks must be worn in the studio. Please do not attend if feeling unwell. \nMy studio is located on private property in Kanata North\, entry is by invitation only so you will receive address within 24hrs after you purchase your ticket. The studio is located in on the second floor of our garage and is up 2 flights of stairs. DESCRIPTION:My Whimsical Ladies\, Ladies in Red and Cloud Lady Series are all about empowerment. These ladies came to me through all the inspiration I gather from all the awesome ladies in my life. We all sometimes forget to take some time for ourselves\, to celebrate ourselves\, or to just take some time for play. We can share lots of inspiring words to our partners\, children\, friends. We usually do not do this for ourselves. This is an opportunity to do just that for you then have a reminder. \n\nBarbi will guide you in the creation of your Love Note to You. You will create a self–portrait surrounded by a colourful watercolour background. Last\, we will add a quote that you have previously selected. The workshop also includes a lesson in Barbi’s Whimsical One’s portrait style.  There is also plenty of room for your own creativity.
